When Cathy, my neighbour across the road, told me with sadness of her two now grown sons, whose family has been on Cortes for five generations, but who would not be able to make a home here since “they simply could not afford to buy in at today’s prices.” They know well that year-round rentals are precious and passed on like a secret currency rarely surfacing on the open rental market.

So what happens when a community no longer has the vitality of the young and the wisdom of the elders? It dies.

Please join us in being part of the solution on this rare rock we call home and wish to see flourish.
